The Association of Student Entrepreneurs (ASE) is for students who want to do more than learn about entrepreneurship—they want to experience it.

Why Join ASE?

Want to build skills you can actually use? Meet ambitious people? Work on something real?

ASE gives students from all majors the opportunity to learn by doing. You’ll work with other students to solve real problems, make decisions, test ideas, and see the results of your work.

Along the way, you’ll build skills that matter wherever your career takes you:

• Problem-solving — figure things out when there isn’t an obvious answer
• Creativity — see possibilities others might miss
• Resourcefulness — learn how to make things happen with what you have
• Communication — learn to pitch ideas and get others on board

No business idea? No problem. You don’t need to be starting a company or even think of yourself as an entrepreneur. Just bring your curiosity and willingness to get involved.

This Year: Help Build a Real Business

This isn’t a case study.

ASE members are building Sweet Carolina Spring Water, a student-led venture that has already completed two production runs and is now taking on its next challenge: building the market.

That means there are real products to sell, real customers to find, and real decisions to make.

Depending on your interests, you might help:

• Find and pitch potential customers
• Create social media and marketing campaigns
• Build the Sweet Carolina brand
• Manage inventory and distribution
• Track costs, sales, and profitability
• Develop partnerships and new opportunities
• Solve the unexpected problems that come with running a real venture

You’ll have the opportunity to try things, make mistakes, learn, adjust, and try again—with a team of students doing it alongside you.

You Don’t Have to Be a Business Major

Marketing. Design. Sustainability. Finance. Communication. Technology. Operations. Sales. Storytelling.

Whatever you’re studying, there’s a place for you to contribute.

More importantly, ASE is a place to discover what you’re good at, develop new skills, meet people who want to make things happen, and leave App State with experiences you can actually talk about in an interview.
