ASU students… Do you currently own your own business? If so, you’re invited to enter “The Launch Pad” competition, sponsored by the ASU Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship. The grand prize is $2000 and an office in the Center for Entrepreneurship’s new student business accelerator! 

We are seeking student business owners to submit entries for “The Launch Pad” elevator pitch contest, which is open to all full-time ASU students (undergraduate & graduate). Business can be anything from non-profit ventures and socially minded endeavors to your classic for-profit business. The top 10 student businesses selected will be "pitched" in an elevator speech to a panel of entrepreneurial judges the afternoon of November 9^th, 2012, following the 10^th annual Entrepreneur Summit. Students will have 2 minutes to present their business, with 2-3 minutes for questions and answers from the judges. $3500 in prize money will be awarded. Prizes will be awarded for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place. “The Launch Pad” competition entries are due no later than Thursday, November 1, 2012.  Entries are to be submitted by visiting http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/PY2KY2P.

The 10^th Annual Carole Moore McLeod Entrepreneur Summit will feature over 50 successful business owners from around the United States. Businesses represented include worldwide industry leaders, every day mom and pop stores, billion dollar businesses, and some that have just gotten off the ground. This is a great opportunity for students interested in owning their own business to come meet and network with these very successful entrepreneurs. This event takes place Friday, November 9, 2012, from 9:00am – 12:00pm. It is free and open to the public, and sponsored by the ASU Transportation Insight Center for Entrepreneurship.
